Owners’ Education and History

Dr. Kendra Orr studied in Madrid, Spain, Hong Kong, China, and in Grenada, Est Indies. She began her career as an educator in public schools. She taught Algebra I, Biology I, English Literature, Computer Science, and Spanish. She began the company in 2013 after it formed with her non-profit, ARDNEK-JACOVITZ. Under ARDNEK-JACOVITZ, LLC, Dr. Orr mentored students majoring in pre-medicine and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) subjects in college. She sponsored scholarships based on private donors. She holds a doctoral degree from the University of Phoenix and an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.

Dr. Dorothy Orr is a former superintendent of the nation’s third largest public school system. She began her 40-year career as an elementary school teacher. Later, she became a principal of a middle school. She was asked to join the administrative team to help over 35,000 students earn public high school diplomas.

The company’s goals are to improve the educational outcomes of students aged 4 to adult. Student population is mostly bilingual, either Spanish-English speakers or Creole-English speakers.
